Father's Day Gift Ideas 2026: Experiences for the Dad Who Has Everything
Australian Father's Day 2026 falls on Sunday 6 September, which means the annual scramble is almost here. What do you actually get the man who says "don't get me anything"? Another tie, a mug or a set of socks will be politely thanked for and quietly forgotten. An experience will not.
This year we have built five Father's Day sets, each matched to a different kind of dad. In every one he builds two Turkish mosaic lamps by hand, lights them, and takes them both home the same day.
Why an experience beats more stuff
There is a good reason "experience gifts for dad" climbs the search charts every August. Dads are notoriously hard to buy for, usually because they already buy themselves whatever they need. What they rarely buy is time doing something new, especially with the people they love.
That is exactly what an experience gift delivers. No wrapping, no wrong size, and nothing that quietly ends up in a cupboard. If you have landed here searching for unique Father's Day gifts or gifts for the dad who has everything, this is the right category.
Five Father's Day sets, one for each kind of dad
Every set pairs our Mini Table Lamp with a second lamp, so he leaves with two finished pieces rather than one. Each set costs less than booking those two lamps separately.
The Home Office Set
Mini Table Lamp and Table Lamp. For the dad who likes things sorted and within reach. Two lamps that end up on the desk and the shelf beside it, both made in the same afternoon.
The Adventurer's Set
Mini Table Lamp and a rechargeable Camping Lamp. This one travels. The camping lamp holds a charge, so it goes wherever the next trip goes, and the mini lamp stays home on the bedside table.
The Storyteller's Set
Mini Table Lamp and Aladdin Lamp. For the dad who has earned a bit of theatre. The Aladdin shape is the one people pick up and ask about, which is rather the point.
The Statement Set
Mini Table Lamp and Small Swan Lamp. For the one with an opinion on the room. The swan is the piece that decides where it wants to sit, and he will move the furniture around it.
The Dreamer's Set
Mini Table Lamp and Moon Lamp. For the dad who is happiest somewhere quiet, looking up. The moon lamp throws a soft, pitted glow that suits exactly that kind of evening.
You can see dates and locations for all five on the Father's Day collection page.
Add someone else to the order
Nobody has only one person to buy for. Add any extra piece to your set, for mum, for yourself, or for somebody else's dad, and every additional item in the same order is 10% off. It applies across the range rather than only to the five sets, so the second gift does not have to be a lamp at all.
Where the workshops run
The Father's Day sets are running in twelve locations: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Parramatta, Manly, Newcastle, Nowra, Dubbo, Shepparton, Bendigo, Hobart and Launceston, so there is usually one within reach. Sessions run about two and a half hours, apple tea and Turkish delights are included, and no experience of any kind is needed.
When to book, and last minute Father's Day gifts
Father's Day 2026 is Sunday 6 September, and the weekend sessions around it are the first to go. Lock in a date as early as you can, and pick your location before you pick the exact session.
Left it late? An ArtMasterClass gift card is delivered digitally, never sells out, and still counts as a proper gift rather than a shrug. He picks his own set, location and date. Order it on the Saturday night if you have to.
If getting to a session is not practical at all, a DIY kit arrives at the door with everything needed to build a lamp at home, which suits interstate and regional families.
The short version
The best Father's Day gifts are not things, they are afternoons. This year that means five sets, two lamps in each, matched to the kind of dad you are actually buying for, at $35 to $45 less than the two lamps booked separately. Add anyone else to the same order and take 10% off what you add. He gets a few good hours and two things he made himself, and you get the rare win of a gift he actually remembers.
